While I love the new PC no ad version, my issue is in low res, not retina display. Hope this is just a glitch, but ironically, the latest issue cover is the new iPad...

Says I need to update. But I dont. Oh well.canceled my subscription.

Cannot recommend this subscription. You cannot download the November issue as it keeps saying that your software is out of date and you need to update it. But the software (app) is up to date. PC Magazine staff are unresponsive to requests for help.

What does that mean?? I get a free trial offer, only AFTER subscribing to your magazine? Makes absolutely no sense to me .... You guys know what free trial means, right?

This app is done well with great value for your money. They touch the latest and also trending software, hardware and opinion.

Youd get better service from somebody on the sinking Titanic. I subscribed in mid November for the $19.99 and just to be sure as I was new to purchasing a subscription, I contacted them to have them assure me it was for the current edition plus eleven others. I know it sounds like a "duh" sort of query but I wanted to know. They responded back that it was Apples domain and not theirs to answer. I found that puzzling. Then I noticed that I had to pay for both November and December. Contacted them again and received the same response even when I pointed out that it was theirs to answer. I was then just recently charged another $19.99. I did not contact Ziff Davis again and instead went to Apple with my complaint. Not only did I get a response within 24 hours from Apple but they indicated that even under the "all sales final" policy they felt it was appropriate for them to reimburse me. Shall never deal with them again. Good luck to the rest of you. If I could Id remove the one star.

This is response to the person who took the time to explain the obvious. My sore point was their customer service. Had they explained what you did then perhaps things would have been different. Being charged the subscription twice within months did not sit very well with me. As I said when I purchased in mid November I would have expected at a minimum the December issue being free and able to download. I know how the app works. The first sign was having to pay for the December issue after I paid the full subscription in November. The 5 or so e-mails with them reeked of unprofessionalism and lack of knowledge. I do appreciate you explaining the obvious but I was correct in my having an uneasy feeling with them. Im glad it worked out for you but Im not going to be milked $40 for a subscription. Kudos to Apple. And never once did I say I could pick any current or previous issue for free. Read the comment more slowly. They still get a 1 star for their monkey like customer service.

When they fix the minor bug left in the app this will be 6 star rating. The content designer go way beyond what the paper based edition does. They put to shame other magazines available in the AppStore. And its only beginning...

You cant view the magazine horizontally. Would be a five if I could.

Have been reading PC mag (and byte) since the early eighties, including the first electronic versions on PCs. The electronic versions were a major improvement since I resided in Europe. The marketing/technical choice to offer only vertical reading on the iPad is interesting... I do not mind, but would like to know why this option. Less pleasant is the fact that with the arrival of iOS 8 I have an issue (sic)... Opened the oct2014 issue, and if I change apps, when I come back to the mag, the magazine is gone. I tried to reload it but without success, even reinstalled the app once, it worked, only until I loaded another app. So until this is solved I must rate it a 1 star....

The magazine is eminently suited to the digital medium! I wouldnt even think about going back to hard copy. Just wish it would display in landscape mode.

I always get "error has occurred" cant possibly enjoy a app, if I cant even open it without problems.

I like the content in PC magazine but the navigation isnt very well designed

Issue with iOS8 has been fixed. Download new app!

It was quite disappointing to find out that since the April 2014 issue I can no longer download it on my iPad 1.

Please fix IT ASAP!!!

No landscape mode. Also, the app freezes almost every time I use it. I have to completely close out and return. My page place is not lost but still, this shouldnt be happening. A wish list item: "reader" view similar to what Safari does for web pages. Im still in the trial period for the subscription. If things dont improve I will not be subscribing.

No landscape mode! And the pinch to enlarge function doesnt always work. I cant read it even with my bifocals. Not worth having just to look at pictures...

I enjoy PC Magazine tremendously. It keeps us on the cutting edge of technological innovation, and the iPad newsstand e-version works flawlessly!
